Buffalo Chicken Wings

Baked Buffalo Chicken Wings Recipe

If you’re in search for the perfect baked Buffalo Chicken Wings recipe, then look no further! This Buffalo Chicken Wings recipe is quick and easy to make.  By baking them in the oven, it is a healthier alternative to traditionally fried chicken wings, yet taste just like restaurant quality wings!

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds chicken wings, separated at joints, tips removed, and rinsed clean
  • 2/3 cup hot pepper sauce (recommended:  Frank’s RedHot Original)
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • Salt and black pepper to taste (chicken seasoning)

Instructions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

Cover an entire sheet pan with heavy duty aluminum foil. Be sure to wrap excess around edges. Spray entire surface with non-stick vegetable oil.

Spread chicken wings evenly throughout the pan. Then lightly sprinkle salt and pepper over the wings. Place in oven and allow to cook for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, turn the wings over, and cook for another 20 minutes.

Meanwhile, preheat a medium sauté pan at low-medium heat. Combine the hot pepper sauce, butter, paprika, salt, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper in the pan. Allow the butter to melt and thoroughly whisk sauce for up to 5-7 minutes.

Once the chicken has finished cooking (the wings should appear lightly browned), remove the chicken from the oven and dump them into the large bowl with the Buffalo Chicken Wing sauce. Lightly toss with a spatula, making sure to coat all the chicken. WAIT! Do not serve yet! Allow the chicken wings to sit for up to 5 minutes, and then toss again. After that second tossing, NOW you can place the chicken wings on a serving dish.

Enjoy this spicy baked Buffalo Chicken Wings recipe!

What hot pepper sauce would you recommend?

Dee,

I am sorry for the delayed response. I was away this past week.

My recommended hot sauce is Frank’s RedHot Original. This is the hot sauce I use when making my wings every single time. I will be editing the recipe to include that recommendation in the description.

Note: Do not use the Frank’s RedHot Buffalo Wings Sauce. You only want to use the basic “Original” hot sauce, and then the remaining ingredients in my recipe.

Have tried a lot of recipes and this is by far the best one I have used for Hot Wings.
